Review by hotel critic
Nestled in a picturesque setting, Bauergarden offers a tranquil retreat with a beautiful lakeside view. The staff's warm hospitality creates a familial atmosphere, albeit some minor hiccups in communication. Room cleanliness surpasses expectations for its price point, a commendable feat. The value proposition is evident in the competitive pricing compared to other establishments in the area. However, some improvements could enhance the overall experience, like clearer communication and attention to small details, such as freshly squeezed orange juice. On the upside, the hotel boasts a private bridge and sauna for a relaxing swim-a definite highlight. While the room may feel slightly cramped, the comforts of a comfortable bed and a well-stocked mini-bar offset this drawback. Guests seeking nature activities will appreciate the proximity to hiking and cycling trails, adding value to their stay. Bauergarden offers a respectable balance between luxury and affordability, promising a pleasant retreat for those seeking a serene getaway.
